About
Welcome to the vibrant culinary scene of New York City, where The Pie Guy Pizza has carved out a niche for itself as a go-to destination for pizza lovers and fish enthusiasts alike. Conveniently located at 83-85 Baxter St, this eatery offers a delightful experience whether you're dining in or grabbing a quick slice to go. Known for its intriguing blend of flavors and a relaxed atmosphere, The Pie Guy Pizza is more than just another pizza joint.
As you step inside, you're welcomed by a lively ambiance with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Patrons often rave about the availability of bar seats and cozy booths, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. But what truly sets The Pie Guy Pizza apart is its commitment to freshness. Every dish is made to order, ensuring that your food arrives at your table hot and bursting with flavor.
While many visit for the celebrated pizza, it's hard to overlook the glowing reviews about their renowned fish dinners. As customer Colette Hebert notes, it’s hands down her favorite in the area, especially on Fridays when the fish is a sought-after item. If you’re planning to indulge, arriving early or placing an order ahead is a smart move to avoid disappointment.
But let’s talk pizza—the star of the show. Reviewers like Iricelly Caban have lauded the "so good!!" sauce, reflecting the care and thoughtfulness put into crafting each slice. The crust strikes a delightful balance: crunchy yet foldable, making it perfect for those who appreciate a classic NYC pizza experience. Customers such as N L have noted the freshness of the ingredients, with each bite resonating with quality.
Unexpectedly, even those who drop in for a casual slice while waiting for an Uber, like Oh Peou, find themselves praising the quality of the pizza. The dough, even when reheated, retains a satisfying crispiness, showcasing The Pie Guy Pizza’s dedication to maintaining standards regardless of circumstance. However, not all reviews align—Jeff Dur found the crust a bit dry, proving that taste can be subjective, but many agree that it still stands as an appealing option for a quick bite.
In summary, The Pie Guy Pizza is not just a haven for pizza aficionados but also a spot where seafood lovers can indulge in delightful fish dishes. With a focus on quality and a menu that caters to diverse tastes, it's a must-visit for anyone in New York City looking for a satisfying meal. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and experience the delicious offerings of this delightful pizzeria.
“ I love PG! This is, hands down, my favorite fish dinner in the area. This location has an indoor and outdoor space. There is always plenty of bar seating and booths available, even when they're busy. They have multiple locations, but this one is the closest to me; you can eat in or you can take out. I love their drinks, fish and fries. Their food is always made to order, and is delivered right to you hot and fresh. Their pizza is great too! But, I usually come here for their fish. They do run out; if you're stopping by for Friday fish, I would recommend stopping by early or ordering ahead. I can't wait to stop back in soon. ”
“ The sauce was so good!! I’m more of sauce person when it comes to pizzas and this hit so good!! ”
“ I saw the ratings and thought no way. Looked okay. Ate it. Bro this shit slaps. Got good crunch. Foldable but not floppy. Tomatoes taste fresh. Not exactly the cheapest slice but pricing isn’t crazy considering how good this slice was. Paid 4.50 for this baby ”
“ Didn’t expect much. Was just grabbing a slice while waiting for uber shuttle to jfk. Turns out to be among top 5 slice I’ve had living here in nyc. Even tho their pizza sat out, when they reheat, their dough was insanely crispy. Prob up there with scars, joes, Rubirosa ”
“ I came here with very high expectations after reading the reviews. Although the pizza was good, the thin crust was as I wanted, this is not the best pizza in town. The crust felt dry and I didn't really wanted to eat the edges, which I enjoy eating when the crust is crunchy. Good for quick pick up, there are a few stools around and a small stand up bar on the side. Overall this is a nice place, especially considering the price/value ratio. ”
“ Incredible NY style pizza for a great price! We came in on a snowy Saturday evening and the owners were welcoming and warm. The margherita pizza was 24 for a whole pie. The dough was chewy and had great flavor. The pizza sauce was slightly sweet and very fresh. There was plenty of mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. The pizza was piping hot and the owners put it on separate plates for our party. ”
“ It was quite a price but the taste did not disappoint. Great amounts of tomato sauce and cheese which blends together as an artwork in my mouth. ”
“ A must try pizza joint. We happened to stumble across this amazing pizza spot and the server was super friendly. The pizza was extremely fresh and flavourful. We got the Quattro, Buffalo chicken and meat lovers. All were delicious. We will be back when in town. ”
